The Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive is back for 2024 and is aimed at novice walkers/joggers/runners and people wanting to get back on track with their fitness goals.
The Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive is back for 2024 and is aimed at novice walkers/joggers/runners and people wanting to get back on track with their fitness goals.
The Challenge is to complete the 4 named races below and a park run (within the time period 01/01/24 & 06/04/24) or as many as you can . By entering you will receive a T-Shirt for you to wear at the races and a medal presented by the Lord Mayor after the end of the last race DCC / BHAA 4 Mile Road Race 06/04/24 @ 11.00 TBC . The Lord Mayor is planning on taking part in the races.
You will need to register yourself for all the race with the exception of the final race the DCC / BHAA 4 Mile Road Race 06/04/24 @ 11.00 TBC (see below)
Phoenix Park - 1st January 2024 @ 09.30am
Raheny Village/St. Anne’s Park - 28 January 2024 @ 3pm
Sandymount - 12 March 2024 @ 7.30pm
BHAA / Dublin City Council - 4 Mile Road Race - St. Anne’s Park - 6 April 2023 @ 11am (DCC will register and pay entry fee)
A park run of your choice within the time period 01/01/24 – 06/04/24.
For those who are not familiar with parkrun it is a free, timed walk / jog / run every Saturday morning at 9.30am at various locations around Dublin, Ireland and the world. You do it at your speed and all are welcome. If you’re starting out parkrun is perfect for you as there is always a range of abilities and always a tail walker. To register for parkrun go to https://www.parkrun.ie/register/. You will get a barcode which you must print and bring with you on the day to get a time. A list of parkrun locations can be found at www.parkrun.ie
