Support for new and existing sports clubs

Dublin City Sports and Wellbeing Partnership provides supports for the establishment of new sports clubs and the development of existing clubs. We strongly recommend that the club is affiliated to the appropriate National Governing Body of Sport (NGB) and is committed to the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport. Support is provided in key areas such as Governance with the provision of Club Development Seminars, Training and Education and Funding application assistance.

Once a year we provide a grant for sports clubs in the Dublin City Administrative Area.

The grant is open to clubs affiliated to a National Governing Body of Sport with members between the ages of 4 to 21, with the aim of increasing participation in sport by young people throughout Dublin City. The grant allocation is provided by Sport Ireland (through the National Local Sports Partnership Programme) and Dublin City Council. Grants typically range between €500 - €1,000.
